Kawuneechee Curve, Colorado River Headwaters

I must go, every few months to the source of the Colorado River. It is a place where I feel grounded and in touch with the spiritual essence of the world I do and don't understand. I always paint it as best I can and I've always done better, deeper and more satisfying work at each encounter.

I want to say this little study is preparation for a larger work but every painting is a preparation for a larger work. The larger work is something I know is always out there, somewhere, around the next curve.
