Living on the central prairie is a difficult and beautiful challenge. The summer sun bakes a sea of tallgrass into deep blue greens of energy rich chlorophyll. When the rains become short and less frequent grasses turn rusty red and auburn. First on the hilltops then as nights cool and summer holds it's breath the bottoms lands turn golden.

Detail of "BECOMING FALL IN THE TALL GRASS"

Cumulus Castellanus clouds spring up quickly at the approach of northern weather fronts. Dry air feeds micro cells and disappear when the cooling land rests after sundown.
