Palo Duro Moment oil by Matthew Richter

11"x14", 2008
oil on canvas

Palo Duro Canyon is a startling and formidable rift marking the southern end of 1,500 miles of high plains majesty stretching down from the Canadian Shield. The second largest canyon in North America is being carved by a violent and rugged environment. It is a sanctuary of walls, rocks, plants, wildlife and vivid earth colors bathed by strong winds and sunlight.
